Use of Special Aromatics Results in Successful
Development of Diverse Functional Paints

| By taking full advantage of the outstanding corrosion
resistance provided by tar pitch and other
heavy components, the Nippon Steel Chemical Group is aggressively promoting
opportunities in the paint business around a diverse core of heavyduty
corrosion-resistant paints for use for ships, steel frames and concrete
structures.
A great variety of functional paints has been developed that enhances an
increasingly rich product line. Among these items are an assortment of
heavy-duty, corrosion-resistant paints NB COAT series with tar epoxy/modified
epoxy paints as the core products; various paints for building structures;
ESCOOL, a solar heat-shielding paint; the non-tar-epoxy paint Marine
Ballaster; the heavy-duty corrosion-preventive paint Aroma Ace that is not
specified as environmental harmful chemical substances because the use of
special aromatics eliminates the fear of environmental pollution; and the inorganic
paint NS CERATON. |
